CPI(M) volunteers held

Puducherry, May 22 (UNI) As many as 61 volunteers of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) including six women were arrested on Tuesday when they were on their way to picket the Chief Secretariat here to press their demands.
The volunteers asre the immediate arrest of the main accused in the ATM fraud case and to regulate the tuition fees in private schools.
The CPI (M) volunteers gathered at the Kamaraj statue junction and took out a procession to the Chief Secretariat. Police prevented them on the Ginjee Saalai where they held a demonstration. In view of this, police arrested them.
