New Delhi, Mar 11 (UNI) A day after the Election Commission announced that the assembly polls will not be held in Jammu and Kashmir along with Lok Sabha polls, Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) on Monday demanded the poll body to reconsider the decision and announce the poll dates simultaneously.
“It is perplexing how the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir is good for the conduct of the Lok Sabha elections and not for the assembly elections which are also due”, said party’s polit bureau in a statement.
Election Commission on Sunday announced the schedule for Lok Sabha polls which will be held from April 12 to May 11.
