Puducherry, Dec12 (UNI) The Puducherry unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Wednesday held a demonstration here to press their demand for full statehood for Puducherry.
In addition to the statehood demand, the protestors also demanded that Puducherry government should file a review petition on the judgement of the Supreme Court validating the nomination of three members to the territorial assembly the union government directly, the central government should withdraw the word that UT is a property of it and that the Lt Governor should leave the state and among others.
The CPI(M) has been demonstrating by beating drums for the last three days. On the third and final day on Wednesday, it held the demonstration in the town.
