Covid19: CCMB to develop new method to test up to 50k samples per day : Dr Mishra

Hyderabad, Jul 1 (UNI) CCMB, a Hyderabad-based laboratory of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), which has been one of the agencies in the forefront of fighting Covid-19 in the country , would develop new method that with those technique to test up to 50,000 samples per day.
We are interacting with company developing the new technique and it will be a game changer particular region and containment zones and cost of the test will be less than Rs 200, CCMB Director Dr Rakesh K Mishra said while addressing E-seminar being organized by Indian Chamber of Commerce (South Region) on ‘ Technology in Medical and Bio-sector’ held here on Wednesday.
We can do that by having a testing center and validation center, national resources and access to the samples, he said.
