Agartala, Aug 7 (UNI) At least six persons died in past 24 hours in Covid-19 infection in Tripura raised death toll to 36 and increased the active Covid cases to 1,954 and the total number of positive patients registered at 5,850 so far after new detection of 128 last night.
However, five deaths in a day at Agartala Govt Medical College (AGMC) hospital have raised the question on the quality of service and treatment management. Allegedly, three of them were died due to a deficiency of oxygen supply, as the system did not function properly.
The victim families alleged that the doctors had put them ventilation but the pipe was leaked and ultimately the patients died following inadequate supply though none of them were having serious infection-related diseases. Earlier, two weeks ago, another 76-yrs old man infected with Covid-19 was died waiting for oxygen in Tripura Medical College hospital.
