COVID-19: Traders support Janta Curfew, urge PM to declare national lockdown

New Delhi, Mar 22 (UNI) In support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's clarion call for Janta curfew, more than seven crore traders from across the country, led by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), downed their shutters on Sunday and nearly 40 crore of their employees stayed at their homes.
"About 60,000 commercial markets all over the country remained completely shut, with no business activities," an official statement said here.
Joining hands with CAIT, about one crore transporters, four crore hawkers and about two crore small scale industries refrained from any kind of business activities.
