COVID-19: Three Indian shuttlers withdraw from SaarLorLux Open

Saarbrucken (Germany), Oct 29 (UNI) Indian shuttlers Lakshya Sen, Ajay Jayaram and Shubhankar Dey were on Thursday forced to withdraw from the SaarLorLux Open 2020 as a precautionary measure for all participants after having been in contact with a COVID positive case within their team entourage.
The positive was identified as D K Sen, father-cum-coach of the defending champion Lakshya Sen. D K Sen is asymptomatic and in isolation.
"BWF can confirm three players have been withdrawn from the SaarLorLux Open 2020 as a precautionary measure for all participants after they were in contact with a member of their team entourage who tested positive for COVID-19," the Badminton World Federation said in a statement.
