New Delhi, Mar 27 (UNI) Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said that 39 Novel Coronavirus cases have been reported so far in the National Capital and the situation was 'completely under control,' till now.
Addressing a digital press conference here, along with Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, Mr Kejriwal
said, "We meet daily to review the arrangement done to tackle the COVID-19 outbreak. Till now, the situation is completely under control and we hope it remains so. But, we won't be at ease, we will be more vigilant.
"As the panel of doctors suggested, we are preparing ourselves for a 1000 cases per day. We have to be prepared, in case the situation escalates. The necessary requirement for this will be arranged as soon as possible," he added.
Earlier in the day, Mr Kejriwal, while addressing another digital press conference here, said that the Delhi Government is prepared to deal with 100 new cases of COVID-19 everyday.
The Chief Minister said, "Delhi Government is prepared to deal with 100 new cases of Coronavirus everyday. Our team is preparing to deal with 500 to 1000 new cases everyday, if the situation escalates.
He said 100 hospitals are being readied with ambulance, ventilators and medical staff.
