Covid-19: Siddaramaiah takes strong exception over Centre's decision to export ventilators

Bengaluru, Aug 2 (UNI) Former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah slammed the Centre’s decision to allow export of indigenous ventilators citing decreasing fatality rate.
Terming the government as inhumane, the Opposition Leader in the Legislative Assembly, in a tweet, pointed out that in Bengaluru there are only around 800 ventilators while the active caseload is over 50,000.
“There is still a shortage of ventilators in Bengaluru also. With active cases at 50,000+ & counting every day, there are only 800 odd ventilators. We still see reports of non-admission due to non-availability of ventilators. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi is keen on exporting ventilators,” he tweeted.
