COVID-19: Section 144 to be imposed in Nanded

Nanded, Jul 10 (UNI) In a bid to prevent increase of COVID-19 cases, the CrPC section 144 would be clamped in this district from July 12 till July 20, announced Collector Vipin Itankar on Friday.
The promulgation, which forbids the assembly of four or more people at one place, would be enacted to break the pandemic's transmission chain, he said.
Barring the essential services, all other activities would remain suspended during the said period, he further said, adding that all urban and rural areas would also be closed.
He stated that the medical shops would be operational from 0700 hours to 1400 hours and doorstep delivery of groceries was permitted.
The violators would be prosecuted under relevant sections, he warned.
