COVID-19: Russia's  cases number 4,49,834

Moscow, Jun 5 (UNI) Russia registered 8,726 more COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours taking its overall tally to 449,834, the coronavirus response center announced on Friday.

A total of 144 more deaths were registered over the past 24 hours and the current death toll stands at 5,528, while 212,680 people have recovered from the disease till date, Xinhua quoted the response center's statement as saying.
The past 24 hours saw 8,057 people recovering from the ailment added the statement.
The Moscow region, which is the worst-hit area of Russia, reported 1,855 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking its overall tally to 191,069.
