COVID-19: Positive cases rise to 256 in Kerala, says CM

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 2 (UNI) Kerala reported 21 more COVID-19 positive cases on Thursday taking the total cases under treatment to 256, while people under quarantine rose to 1,65,934, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijan said.
Addressing a press conference at the Government Secretariat, the Chief Minister said "out of 21 new cases, eight were from Kasaragod, five from Idukki, two from Kollam, one each from Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Thrissur, Kannur, Malappuram and Kozhikode."
"Currently 1,65,934 people are under surveillance, out of which 1,65,291 under isolation in homes and 643 in hospitals. Today alone 145 people were newly admitted to various hospitals in the State," he further said.
