COVID-19 positive cases continue to mount in Telangana, overall death toll rises to 1,025

Hyderabad, Sep 19 (UNI) Increasing the case number, Telangana reported 2,123 fresh
COVID-19 positive cases pushing the cumulative cases to 1,69,169 as on Friday, with nine more
Coronavirus deaths recorded in the last 24 hours taking the overall toll to 1,025.
In all, 2,151 patients had recovered till 2000 hours yesterday night taking the total number of recoveries to 1,37,508, constituting a recovery rate of 81.28 per cent as against the National recovery rate of 79.26 per cent, according to a state health department bulletin issued here on Saturday.
The bulletin said that the case fatality rate in the state was 0.60 per cent, while the country-wide mortality rate was 1.61 per cent and added that there were 30,636 active cases in the state now.
Of the 54,459 COVID-19 samples tests conducted between Thursday and Friday, the reports of 1,207 samples are awaited.
Overall, 23,34,409 COVID-19 sample tests had been carried out in the state since the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits reported 305 new cases followed by Ranga Reddy district (185), Medchal Malkajigiri district (149), Nalgonda district (135) and Karimnagar district (112).
The remaining cases were reported from other districts in the state, the bulletin added.
