Shimla, May 29 (UNI) The number of positive Novel Coronavirus cases reached 291 in this hill state, after five people tested positive in Hamirpur and four in Kangra.
With the detection of five more infected persons in Hamirpur, the total number of infected persons in the district has risen to 98. The active cases stand at 88, while nine have been cured and one died recently.
Deputy Commissioner of Kangra Harikesh Meena said here on Friday that the fresh cases included three persons, having travel history from Thane, Maharashtra. They were being shifted to Dadh DCCC.
These include a 42-year-old man from Sanghol, a 33-year-old man from Gadhran and a 27-year-old man from Thural.
He said that a 75-year-old man, who came from Delhi four days back, had tested positive. The Septuagenarian had renal failure and was on dialysis. He was presently under home quarantine in Thural and being shifted to Nerchowk Medical College, Mandi, Mr Meena added.
Total number of COVID-19 cases increased to 69 in the district and active cases reached 50, said the Kangra DC.
The state currently houses 208 active cases, while the Pandemic has so far claimed six lives, he added.
