Covid-19: Maha reports over 40k cases, 29 deaths; Omicron tally rises by 8

Mumbai, Jan 16 (UNI) The COVID surge remained consistent across Maharashtra on Sunday as more than 40,000 patients were found for fifth consecutive day.
As per official data, the state tallied 41,327 cases and 29 deaths, taking the total caseload and death toll to 72,11,810 and 1,41,808 respectively.
Meanwhile, 40,386 people were cured and discharged during the day across the state, taking the overall count of recoveries to 68,00,900.

Aurangabad/Mumbai, May 22 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president Nana Patole on Sunday raised doubt over sincerity of the Modi government at the Centre in giving relief to the people of the country by reducing excise duty on fuel and demanded to abolish unfair taxes on fuel from 2014 onwards so that fuel prices can be reduced in real sense and inflation can be curbed.

Fadnavis to lead Janakrosh Morcha in Aurangabad
