COVID-19: Mah's Marathwada region registers 29 new cases

Latur/Osmanabad, Jul 5 (UNI) As many as 29 fresh cases of novel coronavirus were reported in Latur and Osmanabad districts of Marathwada region of Maharashtra, the worst hit state in the country.

According to health department sources, on Saturday night 16 positive cases including 12 from Latur and four from Udgir were detected in Latur district taking the tally of infected to 428.

The district also witnessed 242 discharges while 20 deaths were reported from the district.

At present, 173 active patients were under treatment, they said.

They further said that the tally of infected shooted to 268 in Osmanabad district with 13 fresh cases.

They added that at least 184 patients were cured in the district while 68 were under treatment in various hospitals.
