Covid-19: M'rashtra reports 31,111 fresh cases, 24 deaths & 8 Omicron cases

Aurangabad / Mumbai, Jan 17 (UNI) Maharashtra on Monday reported 31,111 new Covid-19 patients and 24 fatalities in a single day, taking the state's cumulative case tally to 72,42,121 and the toll to 1,41,832, respectively, a health bulletin of the state government said.
Also, eight fresh cases of new Omicron variant were spotted in the state today, taking the caseload of this cases in the state to 1,768.
On the other hand, 29,092 patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 68,29,992.
