Jammu, July 1 (UNI) With COVID cases increasing every day and when many districts have made wearing masks, especially when in public as mandatory, the inmates of District Jail Jammu have started stitching designer masks withing the premises for supplying them in the market.
The inmates were already stitching the masks, which were earlier being supplied in government departments but as designer masks have become a fashion, the inmates are now making the same.
"We have trained inmates who have expertise in tailoring and under the supervision of other inmates, they are stitching the designer masks," Saleem Mirza Being, Superintendent Jail, District Jail Jammu said on Wednesday.
