COVID-19: Jammu Admn declares Maratha Basti as red zone, imposes lockdown

Jammu, Jul 16 (UNI) Jammu District Magistrate, Sushma Chauhan on Thursday declared Maratha Basti located in Trikuta Nagar as containment or red zone and imposed strict lockdown and tight perimeter control in the said area, except for essential needs.
Ms Chauhan has accordingly issued the SOPs which should apply to the specified areas.
However, for any medical emergency, individuals could contact 24X7 control rooms and necessary facilitation would be done.
As per the order, ''Any violation of this order shall invite punitive action under section 188 of Indian Penal Code and other relevant sections of Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897 and the Disaster Management Act, 2005.''
