Covid-19 : HP records 446 new cases, 2 more deaths

Dharamshala, August 16 (UNI) Two males, one each from Mandi and Bilaspur districts died of Covid-19 on Tuesday and at least 446 more people tested positive for the Corona virus on Tuesday.
Addition of these new cases has taken Himachal's overall caseload to 308133. The fresh cases included the highest 136 in Kangra district followed by 68 from Mandi and 55 from Shimla district.

Lack of confidence and leadership in Congress led to distribution of tickets over phone: Kashyap

Shimla, Oct 7 (UNI) HP BJP state president Suresh Kashyap said on Friday that due to infighting and lack of leadership among the state Congress leaders, today their leaders are allotting tickets over the phone. Congress is not confident enough to announce their party ticket in front of the public, as their candidates are not sure of winning and are insecure. Suresh Kashyap termed the statement of Congress MLA Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu ridiculous in which he said that 40 tickets have been finalized and candidates have been informed over the phone.
