COVID-19: Haryana police personnel to get Rs 30 lakh cover

Chandigarh, Apr 9 (UNI) Haryana government has decided to provide Rs 30 lakh cover, in case of death, to the police personnel directly engaged in the fight against the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
Giving this information here on Thursday, Director General of Police (DGP) Manoj Yadava said that Police is playing a proactive role in the COVID 19 fight especially in enforcing the lockdown.
Considering Police as the frontline force in fighting coronavirus, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had recently announced this measure to protect all Police personnel under like it has been done for healthcare personnel, he said.

No progress in delimiting 90 assembly seats of J&K, even after 21 months: Panthers Party

Jammu, Dec 9 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party chairman and former minister, Harsh Dev Singh on Thursday said that while the process of delimitation of 4,121 assembly constituencies of 28 states of the country and 539 parliamentary constituencies was completed by Justice Kuldeep Singh led Delimitation commission within a period of 4 years, it is ironical that on delimiting of barely 90 assembly constituencies of J&K has seen no progress despite a lapse of 21 months from the date of its constitution.
