New Delhi, Mar 30 (UNI) The nationwide tally of confirmed corona cases mounted to 1,071 while the death toll touched 29 on Monday even as the country entered day 6 of its lockdown, the government said.
The number of active cases in the country at present amount to 942, the Health Ministry confirmed, adding that 99 have so far been cured and discharged.
Around 15,24,266 passengers at the airport have been screened so far, as per the Health ministry and one person migrated from here.
On Sunday, the Centre issued strict directions in terms of sealing the borders, in view of the complete lockdown, so that it can be observed with greater effect.
"Our citizens must be wondering what kind of Prime Minister I am. But, lockdown is the only solution in front of us. Many people are still defying the lockdown. This is sad. Many people across the world did the same mistake," the Prime Minister had said during Mann Ki Baat on Sunday, asking people again to stay put wherever they were and observe the lockdown.
