COVID-19: Confirmed cases in Iran reach 146,668

Tehran, May 29 (UNI) Total number of COVID-19 cases in Iran has reached 146,668 with the detection of 2,819 new cases over the past 24 hours, the country's health ministry announced on Friday.
Xinhua quoted head of Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education Kianush Jahanpur saying that 50 patients died over the past 24 hours, taking the overall death toll to 7,677.
Jahanpur said that till date 114,931 people have recovered from the disease while 2,547 are still under intense care in hospitals.
