COVID 19 claims life of a sitting judge in Bihar

Patna Aug 6 ( UNI) The Principal Judge of family court in Patna Civil Court Harish Chandra Srivastava died due to coronavirus infection here on Thursday.
He was 58.
Srivastava after being confirmed of covid-19 positive, was being treated at All India Institute of Medical Sciences Patna where he breathed his last on Thursday. The judge was transferred to the family court on March 25 this year prior to which he was additional District and session judge in Purnia. He was also special judge of scheduled tribe scheduled caste and posco.

Tripura govt to formulate common RR to facilitate terminated teachers

Agartala, Sep 23 (UNI) To accommodate the remaining teachers of 10,323 whose job was terminated in March this year by Supreme Court, Tripura government has decided to formulate a common recruitment rules (RR) for filling up over 12,000 vacant posts of Group C and D in various departments in phase manner.

NSCN-K leader Lt Gen (retd) Nyemlang surrenders

Kohima, Sep 23 (UNI) The Chairman of the breakaway faction of the Yung Aung-led NSCN (K), Lt Gen (retired) Nyemlang Konyak, along with his colleagues, has surrendered to the security forces on the Indian side of the India-Myanmar border and they were handed themselves over to the Assam Rifles somewhere in Mon district on September 22.

Unidentified gunmen shot dead Assam truck driver in Nagaland

Kohima, Sep 23 (UNI) While Naga peace talks were nearing to a solution, an incident of violation of human rights has shocked the Naga society, one Assam truck driver was shot dead by unidentified gunmen near Imliyanger Memorial Centre (IMC) Hall in Dimapur in the wee hours of Tuesday. Official sources said that the deceased, identified as Jiten Gogoi (30), hailed from Dhemaji in Assam and was a driver of a transport company. He had transported a shipment of sanitary ware and animal feed from Guwahati and was said to have crossed the Dillai check post in Assam at around 1:46 am, sources added. He was suspected that the killing happened sometime around 2:30 am of September 22. His body was found sprawled on the road near the warehouse at around 5:30 am.
