COVID-19 cases spikes over 158254, death toll surges to 2897 in K'taka

Bengaluru, Aug 6 (UNI) Karnataka was continuously reeling under the grip of the pandemic, as a highest single-day cases 6805 COVID-19 were reported on Thursday taking the total number of people tested positive in the state to 158254.
The number of deaths due to the COVID-19 also surged to 2897 with 93 infected people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours in the state.
According to official sources, the number of COVID-19 patients, cured and discharged from various hospitals also accounted to 5602, taking the total number of cured to 80281 in the state.
