COVID-19: Bangladesh Army going tough on people to maintain social distancing

Dhaka, Apr (UNI) As Bangladesh has deployed its Army on the streets to contain the pandemic coronavirus, reports on Thursday came that the defence personnel are using brute force over the public who ignore government's advice of social distancing.
Lt. Colonel Abdullah Ibn Zaid, Director of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), issued the warning in a statement on Wednesday, saying that people found to be flouting the rules will face tough action from Thursday.
The Armed Forces have been working to ensure social distancing of the people in the divisional and district towns, coastal areas and to transport emergency goods in aid of the civil administration since Mar 24.
