COVID-19: Alagiri donates Rs 10 lakh to Tamil Nadu CM’s Public Relief Fund

Madurai, Mar 30 (UNI) Expelled DMK leader and former Union Minister M K Alagiri on Monday donated Rs 10 lakh to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to combat the novel coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement here, Mr Alagiri said he had contributed Rs 10 lakh based on a request from the Chief Minister Edapaddi K Palaniswamy. The amount was handed over to Madurai district collector T G Vinay.
The Opposition DMK on Monday announced that the party would donate Rs one crore to the Chief Minister’s public relief fund to prevent the spread of the virus. The donation would be made on behalf of the DMK trust, party President M.K.Stalin said.
