Vijayawada, May 1 (UNI) The spike in Coronavirus positive cases continued in Andhra Pradesh with 60 persons testing positive during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,463 while two more deaths have been reported.
A health bulletin here on Friday said the new positive cases were reported from 9 am on Thursday to 9 am this morning.
Of the 60 new positive cases, 25 were reported in Kurnool district, 19 in Guntur district, 6 each in Kadapa and Anantapur districts, 2 each in Visakhapatnam and West Godavari districts.
Two deaths have been reported in the state with one patient died due to Coronavirus in Kurnool district and another in Nellore district.
With the two deaths, the Coronavirus pandemic had claimed 33 lives so far.
As many as 403 patients had recovered and they were discharged from hospitals while 1027 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals.
Out of the total 1,463 cases, a large number of 411 positive cases were reported in Kurnool district, 306 cases in Guntur district, 246 cases in Krishna district, 84 cases in Nellore district, 80 cases in Chittoor district, 79 cases in Kadapa district, 67 cases in Anantapur district, 60 cases in Prakasam district, 58 cases in West Godavari district, 42 cases in East Godavari district, 25 cases in Visakhapatnam district and 5 cases in Srikakulam district.
