COVID-19: 483 new patients found, 6 dead in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Aug 6 (UNI) As many as 483 fresh Coronavirus positive patients were found in Chhattisgarh during the last 24 hours while 217 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery. Meanwhile six patients succumbed to virus.
According to information received from health department out of 395 new patients maximum 193 belong to Raipur, while 65 patients were found in Bilaspur, 53 in Durg, 31 in Rajnandgaon, 22 in Bastar, 19 in Raigarh, 14 in Kanker, 12 in Narayanpur, 9 each in Kondagaon and Janjgir, 8 each in Korba and Balrampur, 7 in Gariaband, 6 each in Balod, Mahasamund, and other state, 3 in Jashpur, 2 each in Dhamtari, Baloda-Bazaar, Sarguja, Sukma and Koriya and 1 each in Bemetara and Surajpur. Process of their hospitalisation is underway.
Meanwhile, 217 patients who were undergoing treatment in various COVID hospitals of the state recovered and they have been discharged. A 47-year coronavirus infected man and a 60-year old female patient of Raipur died in Medical College Hospital while a 63-year old man died of coronavirus in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur. One patient from Rajnandgaon and another from Mahasamund too died of Coronavirus in AIIMS, Raipur while body of a Coronavirus patient of Janjgir was found hanging in COVID Care Hospital.
