COVID-19: 205 new cases, 2 deaths in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Aug 5 (UNI) As many as 205 fresh COVID-19 positive cases were reported in Chhattisgarh during the last 24 hours taking the tally of infected to 10407 while two more patients succumbed to infection pushing the death toll of the state to 71.
However, 258 patients who were undergoing treatment in various COVID hospitals across the state were discharged after recovery surging the number of cured and discharged to 7871.
According to the health department, out of 205 fresh cases, 83 belong to Raipur whereas 32 belong to Durg, 18 to Bastar, 16 to Rajnandgaon, 13 to Mahasamund, nine each to Raigarh and Baloda-Bazaar, five to Jashpur, four each to Sarguja and Narayanpur, two each to Janjgir-Champa, Kanker and other state and one each to Bemetara, Kabirdham, Gariaband, Bilaspur, Surajpur and Kondagaon.
