Court sets aside Baruna GP Sarpanch's election, orders by-election

Kendrapara, Dec 10 (UNI) The Aul Civil Judge-cum- JMFC has set aside the election of the Baruna GP Sarpanch under Rajkanika block and directed the district administration to conduct by-election for the post.
The court set aside the election of Uttam Senapati, as the sarpanch of Baruna GP and to start the process for the election of a new sarpanch..
As per the report, though Mr Senapati has more than two children while filing the nomination for the Post of Sarpanch, he had not mentioned it in the nomination paper.
He defeated Dushmant Behera in the election.
The court yesterday declared the election of Uttam Senapati as illegal and void for having three children.
