Couple burnt alive after bike catches fire

Kozhikode, Oct 10 (UNI) A husband and wife were burnt to death after their motorbike caught fire when it collided with a lorry head-on on the National highway at Palazhi in this district of Kerala last night.
Police said the deceased were identified as Majeesh (29) and his wife Jiji (24), hailing from Chittariparamba in neighbouring Kannur district.
The accident occurred when the petrol tank of the bike was exploded after it hit the lorry head-on while attempting to overtake another vehicle.

Pune, April 25 (UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal(5.1°C or more) at many places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; at isolated places over Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and Assam and Meghalaya; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Jharkhand; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Kerala and Mahe; at isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Telangana. These were below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Vidarbha and east Madhya Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.7°C was reported at Anantapur
(Rayalaseema) over the country.
