Counting of votes will start on Dec 8

Dharamshala, Nov 28 (UNI) The counting of votes for Vidhansabha General Election-2022 will start at 8 am on December 8, 2022 and the administration is gearing up to make elaborate arrangements for counting of votes in Kangra district.
District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Kangra Dr. Nipun Jindal today told UNI that the exercise regarding the preparations related to the counting of votes has been intensified. He said that in this series, a training workshop was organized for all the election officers of the district on Monday in the Deputy Commissioner's office auditorium.
District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Nipun Jindal gave important guidelines to the election officials regarding the entire process of counting of votes and all arrangements related to counting of votes including proper arrangement of counting centres. He instructed that the counting centers should be fully prepared by December 5 for the counting of votes. Transparency and fairness should be ensured in the entire process of counting of votes. He asked that all officers should carefully read the rules related to the counting of votes of the Election Commission, so that there is no confusion.
