Counting begins eight LS seats in Marathwada region

Aurangabad, May 23 (UNI) Counting for eight Parilmanetry seats in Marathwada region begins in
all the district headquarters under tight security arrangements .
According to the election official sources from all the respective centers they are Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, Osmanabad, Latur, Nanded, Parbhani and Hingoli where Polling held on April 18 and April 23 last month.
The sources said that counting postal ballots and ETPBS (military votes) in all the eight constituencies will take place first.
In all the eight constituencies total 155 candidates were In the fray whose luck were sealed in the EVMs were known later today after the counting.
Above 64 percent polling registred in all the eight constituencies which near about equlantants to 2014 polling percentage .

Prominent those who were contested the elections are Dr Pritam Munde (BJP) from Beed, BJP state president and four time MP Raosaheb Danve (BJP) from Jalna,Former state Chief Minister Ashok Chavan (Congress) from Nanded, four time shiv sena MP Chandrakant Khaire from Aurangabad, Ashok Wankhede (Congress) from Hingoli and Rana Jagjitsinh (NCP) from
Osmanabad .
Counting trends will available after 0900 hours onwards and results will be expected in by this evening after counting of five VVPAT machines slips from each assembly segment, sources added.
