Mumbai, Sep 19 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon distribute subsidies to cotton and soybean farmers in a programme, Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Dhananjay Munde said on Thursday.
The government has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 5,000 per hectare (limited to two hectares) to cotton and soybean farmers for the kharif season of 2023.
As a result of this decision, Rs 4,194 crore in subsidy will be distributed to 83 lakh farmers in the state, he said during a review meeting organised in Mantralaya here.
