Corruption: India better than China, Pak improves position

New Delhi, Jan 27 (UNI) India is a less corrupt place than China, according to a report of the Transparency International released today. Though the score of both the countries on corruption level compared to last year remains the same, their smaller neighbour Pakistan has improved its position. According to Transparency International, India is placed 78th position with score of 38 points. Pakistan is the only country among the SAARC nations which has improved its score, though its position remains at 117, which is much worse than India’s, the report said. Compared to last year, India has bettered its position. It was ranked 85 with a similar score of 38. India shares it rank with Brazil, Burkina Faso, Thailand, Tunisia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Zambia. According to the report, Denmark took the top spot for the second consecutive year, with North Korea and Somalia the worst performers, scoring just eight points each. More UNI RBE DJK RSA 1814
