Corruption case registered by SVO against SMC, R&B officials in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jan 29 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) has registered a corruption case against some civilians and officers of Srinagar Municipal Corporatin (SMC) and Roads and Buildings (R&B) department for allowing construction of a commercial complex on a piece of land acquired by the government for road project.
A SVO said a case was registered after the allegations were proved that the officials were involved in corruption case.
Giving details he said a resident of Bemina in the city outskirts under the patronage of some SMC and R&B officials has started construction on a piece of land at Nawab Bazar in the down town which was acquired by R&B Department for Circular Road Project in 1992.
