Corona related fake news grips Himachal

Shimla, Mar 21 (UNI) State Cyber Crime Police Station on Saturday wrote to WhatsApp seeking the origin of fake government orders being circulated over the messenger in the hill state.
A fake 'officer order' that alleges to be issued by the additional chief secretary to the government of Himachal Pradesh ordering the imposition of section 144 of the CrPC in five districts of the hill state along with some other restrictions across the state is doing the rounds of social media since Thursday, State Cyber Crime Police Station In-charge Narveer Rathore said.
The order which bore an official-looking serial number and format, also said that all state borders have been "sealed" as a fabricated copy closely resembling a government order.
