Coordinated efforts helped Pondy contain the spread of COVID-19: CM

Puducherry, Apr 26 (UNI) Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy on Sunday said that there are only four active cases in the UT which are being treated at the Indira Gandhi Government Medical college and their condition was stable and they were recovering, while asserting that the coordinated efforts taken by several departments helped them in containing the spread of coronavirus here.
In an audio clip sent to the press, the Chief Minister said that Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu had called him over the phone on Saturday and inquired about the COVID 19 situation in Puducherry and the efforts taken by the government in containing it.
The Vice-president was apprised that there are no COVID-19 cases in Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam regions of the union territory and only four patients are there in Puducherry.
