Contract employee in tehsil office of Kolhapur arrested for bribery

Kolhapur, Jan 24 (UNI) The Kolhapur unit of Anti- Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday arrested a contractual employee while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a complainant in talathi office at Rendal village in Hatkanangale tehsil of the district.
The alleged accused, Babaso Krushna Sutar (51), resident of Rendal village, who was working on contract basis at Rendal tehsil office, had demanded Rs 20,000 as bribe for registration of the new house of the complainant in land record certificate.
Aggrieved complainant informed about this to the city unit of ACB, whose officials laid a trap at Rendal tehsil office this evening and caught red-handed Sutar while accepting the bribe money from the complainant, a press release issued by ACB said here.
