Contamination of drinking water; HC seeks suggestion from court friend

Shimla, Jan 7 (UNI) The government today filed status report before the Himachal Pradesh High Court in the matter pertaining to supplying of contaminated and polluted drinking water supply in Shimla Town.
The court further directed the Amicus Curie, Senior Advocate Ramakant Sharma to file suggestions by tomorrow in the open court. Now, the matter will be listed before the court on January 8.
A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir and Jutice Sureshwar Thakur passed these orders on a petition taken up suo motu by the Court as a Public Interest Litigation on the news items published in various news papers on January 3 regarding contaminated water supply in this city.
