Chandigarh, Apr 16 (UNI) Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has said that the construction of Dwarka Express Highway would begin within the next one month and Rs 7,000 crore would be spent on the construction of about 17 km long highway.
Besides this, the work on Metrino pod taxi, a driverless system between Dhaula Kuan, Delhi to Manesar would begin in next over one and a half month, he said, while addressing the people during a programme in Gurugram district on Monday. Mahendergarh MP and Union Minister of State for Planning and Chemicals and Fertilizers Rao Inderjit Singh was also present on the occasion.
He added that works on various projects are under progress to deal with the problem of traffic jam in Gurugram. In this direction, Dwarka Express Highway would be very effective for the people of the district. Four packages of this highway has been formed, of which three have been awarded and in fourth package, 24 houses were blocking with whom agreement has been reached to remove them from that place.
