Constitution under threat under BJP govt : Hooda

Jind, Apr 26 (UNI) Former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Friday said the 2019 Lok Sabha elections are an extraordinary election as the constitution framed by Babasahib Bhimrao Ambedkar and other founding fathers is under threat.
Speaking to party workers from Jind, Julana and Safidon assembly segments at the Congress Bhawan here, Hooda said he was not here to contest the elections and go to the Parliament, he had decided to contest from Sonipat to Chandigarh via Delhi to do something special for the people of the area. He said the efforts and sweat of party workers would not go waste as it would bring about a change in future of the state and the country.
Talking about the Jind district, he said when the Congress formed the government after winning the 2005 Vidhan Sabha elections, three ministerial berths were given to leaders from the district and that he did whatever they asked me to do for the district. “If there is something that still needs to be done, I would do my best to fulfil them as your representative. I share a special bond with the people of the region as my mother was also from this district,” he said.
