Constable dismissed for running hotel sans license

Bhubaneswar, Oct 24 (UNI) Commissionerate of Police on Sunday dismissed Constable Prasanna Behera from service.
Mr Behera was earlier suspended and arrested for allegedly running the South City Hotel and bar at Patrapada, in Bhubaneswar without a valid licence, and also violating COVID-19 rules.
An official notification said Bhubaneswar DCP Umashankar Dash has dismissed Mr Behera with immediate effect. Eight departmental proceedings and five criminal cases are pending against him at various stages.
