Conservative Party chairman says Brexit will be binding on parliament

LONDON, Jul 24 (Reuters) The chairman of Britain's Conservative Party said the vote for Brexit to leave the EU referendum would be binding on parliament and Article 50, which formally starts the exit process from the bloc, would be triggered before the next election.
"I'm quite clear that the referendum result is binding on parliament," Patrick McLoughlin told the BBC's Marr show on Sunday.
McLoughlin also said Article 50 would definitely be triggered before the next election.
