Congress workers protest arrest of Randeep Surjewala in Kaithal

Kaithal, Nov 2 (UNI) To lodge their protest over the arrest of AICC spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala by Delhi police, a large number of Congress workers led by Sudeep Singh Surjewala held a march and blocked Pehowa chowk late this evening.
They also set on fire an effigy of Prime minister Narendra Modi. As result of this protest, the road users had to divert their vehicles to other routes.
Addressing protesting Congress workers, Sudeep Surjewala said that the arrest of Randeep Surjewala was a great insult to family members of the Amy personnel who committed suicide in Delhi today. He said that earlier Rahul Gandhi was prevented from entering Ram Manohar Lohia hospital where he went to meet members of the bereaved family.
