New Delhi, Jan 9 (UNI) The Congress party will hold a nationwide protest on January 15 in solidarity with the farmers, agitating against the three farm laws for the last 43 days and will organise protests across the state headquarters and district level.
Addressing a press conference, the Party’s communication department head Randeep Singh Surjewala said that the Central Government has taken a hardened stand in favour of these ‘controversial legislation’ and party workers will hold ‘dharna’ up to district headquarters.
The party’s spokesman also said “The Congress party is duty-bound to stand with the farmers of the country. It has been decided that the party will observe January 15 as Kisan Adhikar Divas. Congress delegations in every state and union territory will gherao the Raj Bhawan and protest demanding the repeal of these black laws.”
