Congress threatens to sue Kerala police for midnight raid on women leaders

Palakkad, Nov 6 (UNI) Congress on Wednesday threatened legal action against the police for conducting what it called "illegal raids" in the hotel rooms of the party's women leaders on Tuesday-Wednesday midnight here in Kerala
The leaders, including former Mahila Congress state presidents Bindhu Krishna and Shanimol Usman had put up at the hotel for taking part in the election campaign of the United Democratic Front (UDF) candidate Rahul Mamkootahi, AICC organising General secretary K C Venugopal said.
"Legal actions will be taken against the police, who conducted illegal raids in the hotel rooms of Congress' state female leaders including former Mahila Congress State presidents Bindhu Krishna and Shanimol Usman, at midnight," said Venugopal.
