Congress terms AAP govt's loan to MCDs as conditional, calls it unjustified

New Delhi, Feb 5 (UNI) Alleging that the Aam Aadmi Party government put riders to give loans to the MCDs to end stir of workers of the East and North Delhi Municipal Corporations, the Delhi Congress today said it was totally unjustified to put conditions for the removal of temporary sanitation workers and beldars, despite the fact that the Aam Aadmi Party had promised all of them to be made permanent.
Blaming the AAP Government for putting a special condition for the removal of temporary sanitation workers and beldars of the MCDs in a phased manner within a year, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Ajay Maken said, “It was discussed at a meeting held in the chamber of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia with the Principal Secretary (Finance) and Commissioners of both the MCDs and decided that an amount of Rs 314 crore to North DMC and Rs 237 crore to the East DMC as loan (non-Plan) are to be released immediately to resolve the present crisis.”
“This was done with the usual condition as conveyed in the previous sanction order for the loan in addition to the special condition that the safai karamcharis and beldars engaged on a temporary basis will be discontinued in a phased manner within a year,” he added.
