Congress protests against HP govt

Shimla, Nov 13 (UNI) Congress state unit on Wednesday come down heavily on Jai Ram Thakur Government in the state alleging that the latter is trying to sell the interest of this hill state by signing many deals in the name of investment.
This was stated by the State Congress president Kuldeep Singh Rathore while addressing a protest meeting held at Recong-Peo in Kinnuar district as today.
The call of agitation was given by Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee against the hike of LPG and Fuel product by the Modi and Jai Ram Government recently.
Addressing the gathering Mr Rathore said that Mr Thakur is trying to sold the interest of hill state by signing number of deals against the interest of this hill state by giving relaxation in the land and construction laws and spending the money from public exchequer.
He said that people have paid high prices of Modi-Shah government's wrong economic policy as they were forced to pay high prices of commodities, while, on the other hands, government waived off the taxes to the big corporate.
"People are in rage against Modi government as the big corporate houses like Adani and Ambani were handed over the pubic assets and lands. The number of banks are on the verge of bankruptcy due to lending out massive public wealth from them and absconding number of defealuters outside the countary in last six years," Mr Rathore said, adding that banking system was ruined by the government and unemployment rates are at all time high in last four decades.
The protest march begun from PWD rest house to PNB branch and it concluded near Congress
party office at Recong-Peo this afternoon.
During the recent Monsoon Assembly session Jai Ram Thakur have to remove an IAS officer from his
post as number of Hotels units had posted in the Rising Himachal Websites to sell them in the Global
investment meet held recently.
Succumbing to the opposition pressure Mr Thakur government forced to delete the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Hotel Units from this websites as the Congress made hue and cry on the issue blaming the BJP state Government for selling Himachal.
Congress party currently organising protest from Nov 11 to 14 in the state demanding the withdrawal of LPG prices and fuel prices hiked recently. Congress party would held last protest at Shimla tomorrow before this Party held the protest in Sundernagar, Mandi and Dharmshala.

Number of protesters including the Local MLA Mr. Jagat Singh Negi also joined the protest meeting.
